SMY. ONDINA LIVEABOARD

Sailing Motor Yacht ONDINA combine the
romance of a traditional sailing schooner with the facilities,
comfort and equipment of a modern diving liveaboard. She is a 32 m,
two masthead, ketch rigged schooner built in 2001 to the timeless
design of the Buginese (South Sulawesi) sailing perhaps known to
seafarers since the time of Simbad.

She is fitted with the latest in navigational and safety equipment.
Her eight air-conditioned double cabins with en suite bathroom
guarantee a level of comfort you’ll appreciate. There is an
air-conditioned lounge/dining room with television, video, slide
projector and specialist diving library. The galley serves delicious
Asian and Western meals, tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks are
available around the clock. There is also an additional al fresco
dining area under canvas, and a 60 sqm sun deck, where you can relax
between dives. There’s more, for after-dive relaxation, you can
choose to get a massage session.

The diving schedule usually consists on 3 dives per day, all of them
with sunlight, or 2 day dives and 1 night dive depending on the day
planning.
SMY ONDINA collaborates with activities oriented to preserve the
reefs and help local communities to find alternative ways of living
in the areas where they sail and dive.
Their
routes can also be enjoyed by non divers: Paradise beaches, fishing
villages, island trekking, National Parks, rituals and millenary
ceremonies will make the best reward for a well deserved exotic
holidays.
Eight air-conditioned cabins with
en-suite bathrooms, a full range of photographic facilities and a
huge sundeck all combine to mean a comfortable and high quality
Indonesia liveaboard.
Under European
ownership, the dive schedule covers many relatively unexplored areas
such as Ambon in the Maluku's Banda Archipelago, Halmahera, Alor and
Raja Ampat. And with a boarding requirement for each cruise of at
least 50 dives per diver, you can be sure there are no absolute
beginners on your safari. Ondina also has nitrox available for use
for those with suitable qualifications.
For underwater photo enthusiasts, you'll find Ondina well equipped
with E6 film processing facilities and a slide projector to show
your dive buddies your good work. Several of the departures have
guest Pro' photographers, such as Deb Fuggitt, so please enquire if
you have a special interest in these trips. The boat kit up area
also has a secure camera table and padded freshwater tank to rinse
your camera equipment.

DIVING TRIP : Raja Ampat Liveaboard
8 Days / 7 Nights Sorong Liveaboard
Dive Itinerary:
Day One : Arrival at Sorong Airport (L,D)
Arrival in Sorong Jeffman Airport by Merpati Airline. Our
representative will be waiting outside the arrival hall and ready to
escort you the ship for immediate boarding. Cabin allocation and
ship orientation will take place before departure. Take this
opportunity to familiarize yourselves with the vessel, make yourself
comfortable. Dinner will be served while departing towards Misool
Island.
Day Two and Three : Misool Island Group (B,L,D)
Welcome to a remote Island group, northeast of Misool, so pristine
and untouched. This area offers a mesmerizing underwater scape which
boasts walls and pinnacles where not an inch is left uncovered. This
dive site has an unusual
high concentration of huge, undisturbed, and giant clams. The Misool
Island group sits at the entrance of the Seram Sea, two degrees from
south of the equator.
The islands, or islets, are uncountable. The larger ones, like
Misool itself, have canyons and lagoons speckled with white sand
beaches ideal for tender boat rides. One can spend hours exploring
and enjoying the same bay. It really is a place of great beauty both
above and below the water. It’s rightly being considered by the
Indonesian government for national park status and by the United
Nations as a world heritage site. In here, there are over 1100
species of fish and over 450 different species of corals making this
area one of the most diverse marine habitats in the world. Famous
Bacet and Farondi are also in the list.
Day Four : Penemu Island (B,L,D)
There are a few dive points that are famous such as Barracuda Reef
when you could spot a large school of Barracuda fish. Also, other
good dive sites are Clam Wall as well as Batu Burung. Lunch will be
served in between the dives. A night dive is offered in the best
dive site around.
Day Five : Yanggelo Island (B,L,D)
Full day diving in this area. Lunch and dinner are served in between
the dives
Day Six : Kri Island (B,L,D)
Welcome to Kri Island. Kri is a
great start of the day with most fish and coral species accounted on
a single dive site. Truly dive sites like Cape Kri, of Dr. Allen’s
30-year lifetime record fish count, Mike’s Point, Sardine and
Chicken Reef offer an unforgettable diving experience where you
could spot huge schools of fish parade by barracuda and pale or blue
tail surgeonfish patrol the reef top, while below schools of
trevally and fusiliers whiz past and encircle you. Manta is usually
seen.
Day Seven : Jerieff Island (B,L,D)
Welcome to Jerief Island. Morning dive in air craft wreck is one of
good attraction in this area. Japanese Bomber 47 Sunk at Depth 38,
second dive can be made at the other side of island also Japanese
Bomber 47 at depth 25 meters and night dive can be made here as well
at night the ship anchoring the whole night here.
